Terms of Use

Cadentia is free, works without an account and runs on your device. These terms say what you can do with it, what is yours, what is ours and how far our responsibility goes.

1. Acceptance

By installing or using Cadentia, on any platform, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Cadentia is developed and published by Roque Ribeiro under the LEVELHARD brand.

On the stores, the store terms also apply: on the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; on Google Play, the Google Play terms. These terms complement those; they do not replace them.

2. What Cadentia is

A set of tools for musicians: tuner, metronome, instruments (strings, piano, bass, drums), tablature, multitrack recorder, stem separation and, on desktop, capture and separation of system audio. It is free, with no ads, no in-app purchases and no subscription. It works without an account and without internet; connecting to your RoqueOS account is optional.

3. License to use

You receive a personal, free, non-exclusive license to install and use Cadentia on your devices. The app, the Cadentia trademark, the icon, the visual identity and the store artwork belong to LEVELHARD; copying, modifying, decompiling or redistributing the app outside the stores and this site is not authorized.

4. What you play, record and separate

Everything you record in the recorder, write in tablature or separate into tracks is yours and stays on your device. We have no access to any of it.

Stem separation is for study, practice and personal use. You are responsible for the songs you separate and for the rights to them: separating a third-party recording to practise is one thing; redistributing the resulting tracks as if they were yours is another, and that is not what the tool is for.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Cadentia to infringe copyright or any other right of third parties;
  • attempt to bypass the operating system’s permissions (microphone, camera, audio capture) or use them to capture another person without their knowledge;
  • publish modified copies under the Cadentia name, icon or visual identity;
  • use the app in a way that harms the device, the network or other users.

6. RoqueOS library

If you pair Cadentia with your RoqueOS account, the RoqueOS Terms of Use and Privacy Policy apply to that connection and to the files stored there. Disconnecting in the app ends the connection and erases the credential from the device.

7. Sound, ears and equipment

Cadentia makes sound, and loud sound hurts. Start with the volume low, especially with headphones. The instruments, the tuner and the metronome are study and practice tools, not certified measuring instruments: to calibrate professional equipment, use professional equipment.

On desktop, live separation has a delay of a few seconds by the nature of the model, and the number is shown on screen. The app warns when the machine cannot keep up in real time.

8. No warranty and limitation of liability

Cadentia is provided “as is”, with no warranty that it fits a specific purpose or runs without interruption or error. To the extent permitted by law, LEVELHARD is not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, loss of recordings or lost profits arising from the use or inability to use the app. Back up what matters: the app keeps your files on the device, and the device is yours.

9. Updates and end of service

We may update Cadentia, change features or discontinue it. Since the app runs on the device, an installed version keeps working for as long as the operating system supports it. We may update these terms; the date at the top says when, and continuing to use the app after that is accepting the new version.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Disputes related to them fall under the jurisdiction of Brazilian courts, without prejudice to consumer rights in your country of residence.
