Licenses and credits

What came from elsewhere is listed here, with license and link, because a license you cannot trace is a license you cannot defend.

Cadentia

Cadentia is software by Roque Ribeiro, published by LEVELHARD. The trademark, the icon, the visual identity and the store artwork belong to LEVELHARD and are not licensed to third parties.

htdemucs (Hybrid Transformer Demucs v4), by Alexandre Défossez and Meta Platforms, MIT license. The model is converted to Core ML (iPhone) and ONNX (Android and desktop) from the original weights; Source: github.com/adefossez/demucs.

ONNX Runtime, Microsoft, MIT license (Android and desktop).

Sample banks (all CC0 1.0, public domain)

The app ships 335 samples converted from seven libraries. None requires credit; credit is given anyway, because the people who recorded them deserve it.

Strings mode

Strings mode was born from the cordas project by Phelipi Dal Olio (github.com/phelipiii), who asked for its features to come into Cadentia. The physical string modelling, the hand tracking and the finger-count chord mapping were rewritten for the app from that work.

On Android, hand tracking uses Google’s MediaPipe Hand Landmarker, Apache 2.0 license. On iPhone, Apple’s Vision, which is part of the system.

Android and desktop

Oboe (Google, Apache 2.0) for low-latency audio on Android. Compose Multiplatform and Kotlin (JetBrains, Apache 2.0) on desktop. The complete third-party notices for each version are on the About → Licenses screen inside the app.

This website

Fonts Gabarito (Naipe Foundry), Onest and Geist Mono (Vercel), all under the SIL Open Font License. Animation with GSAP (Webflow, standard free license) and Lenis (darkroom.engineering, MIT). Built with Nuxt (MIT) and hosted on Firebase.

The “Download on the App Store” and “Get it on Google Play” badges are trademarks of Apple Inc. and Google LLC, used according to each company’s guidelines. The instrument illustrations were drawn for the app.
